Piet Paris: Social Media & Positioning
Piet Paris is one of the Netherlands' most celebrated fashion graphic artists, with a career spanning more than 35 years. His drawings are held in the Rijksmuseum's Rijksprentenkabinet, and his archive is being preserved by the Dutch Ministry of Education during his lifetime, a rare recognition of cultural significance. He has created sets for Viktor & Rolf couture shows, curated exhibitions at the Centraal Museum Utrecht and Museum JAN, and his drawing style has been compared to Dick Bruna and Gerrit Rietveld. He has been featured in Vogue and on ShowStudio, and has collaborated with some of the world's greatest designers.
In early 2026 I worked with Piet in collaboration with Elke Kieft, brand communication specialist and founder of Keep Communicating, to develop the social media communication and positioning around his new portfolio presentation at COKO Space in Amsterdam. The presentation featured a limited edition of 25 signed portfolios, each containing five large-format works, the result of his most recent studies and a deepening of his printmaking techniques following an artist residency at Rosewood Amsterdam.
What made this project distinctive was the approach. Rather than leading with data and competitor benchmarks, I understood that what Piet needed was a creative springboard: something that would help him feel confident and inspired about how to present his world to a new audience. The work included a social media strategy and education document, content planning and creation, and a full rewrite of his profile bios across LinkedIn, Wikipedia, Instagram and Facebook.
The exhibition generated coverage in de Volkskrant and a feature on Gijs Groentemans' podcast, reflecting the cultural resonance of the moment.
